Cornelius Waldo was the first Waldo known to have made the voyage to America. He made the trip in the year 1634 coming from his home in Westbury Lea, England. Little is known about his background or that of his family in England but thanks to the 1902 Waldo Genealogy, compiled by Waldo Lincoln, we have extensive knowledge of his life and family after arriving and settling in America.
